Featured Artist: A Shipwrecked Boat Inside A Gallery

Oct 8, 2010

We've featured the crown jewel of Los Angeles' alternative art spaces, Machine Project, in the past.  Whether it's their gallery shows, technology workshops, performative stunts, interventions in traditional museums, or concert series in coat rooms; Machine is constantly a creative and innovative force that is re-contextualizing the arts and learning space and having fun at the same time.

For their latest project/stunt they have truly outdone themselves.  Not only have they installed a shipwrecked boat (
beautifully created by Josh Beckman) inside their modest gallery space, but they've also devised a series of readings, music concerts, classes, and lectures on and around the boat.

In the Los Angeles region?  They just extended the show until October 22. Don't miss it.
